Increase your experience when you get influences (criticism) from unknown new people you meet, or people, read coaches, which knows you longer??
With other words, when a new coach you meet, looks to your coaching/training, is this increase faster your experience?
Is a safe area, read people you know, better than a unsafe area?
For me is this a big question, because criticism and influencers have their own theory and experiences, right? So, they struggle with the same??Or is this a matter of a spiderweb, to influence each other?
Now I understand that the key to falsification or getting rid of brain pollution is to critically analyze my theory (HOW) before and after. Also to develop references in my head so strong which will help me critically evaluate another coach’s (HOW) By theorizing their HOW which is their experience or behaviors I will get the Objective which is the WHAT. To call it objective knowledge it should be applicable to me and for any other coach in the football world.
Thanks very much. I’m already looking forward to next month.
Relating human evolution with football evolution says a lot. Players are not the same as they were 5 or 10 years back, so we must critically evaluate it to evolve our coaching as well.
Thank you for the video Chinazo.
Human evolution through the lens of football evolution requires a conscious decision to incorporate holistic development of all interrelated and interdependent aspects of what it means to be a modern day footballer and coach. Great first module. Will review ahead of Q/A session.
Relative incompetence – like this way of framing the correct behaviour required. Team first attitude is key, and stops the feeling of personal attacks, which can be seen so many times on a football pitch.
Also quiet interested to here the knew thoughts on the hierarchy on BETTER ACTION Vs MORE ACTION PER MIN/MAINTAIN MANY ACTIONS, certainly gets you thinking.
A thought provoking start to the course. The adaptation from PDE to CDE(F) makes sense, which has already had a positive impact on my coaching. I look forward to the next module.
As always, this opening opening to the course provokes deep thinking, something Ive been guilty of not doing anywhere near enough before studying with FCE & Raymond. Chinazo has nailed it, great video & I relate so much to this, thanks for sharing.
Enjoy online learning as have more time to digest; dressing room is intense & I missed a lot first time round !!!
Listened and read the same chapter from the book. I think it is difficult to go and challenge another coach. Rather keep it to myself and do what I’ve learned. Universal football language everywhere in the world – how can it become possible, you cannot coach in English and something is always lost in the translation. But basic principles could be agreed, if every coach studied FCE courses :=)
Very interesting first courses! Thanks for sharing! I even can took the mirrow to myself and critical thinking of my coaching and the HOW and WHAT. I work in Women Football and it´s a big thing working with women the personal ciritical coaching and talking. So the new ideas to do it in team and talk what happends for team mates its a good starting point. Can you give more examples for this? The Relation of a football action or behaviour of a player to his team!?
The principle of communicating incompetence to a player in relation to how it affects the team is fascinating, and something which makes absolute logical sense. I found it was necessary to explain the reasons for communication style this with a previous team I was involved with. They were used to hearing things like “that was £%@!” etc with no relation to the context in the team or the game.

Can you please give an example how Louis van Gaal did relate the football action of a player to his team (relative incompetence)?
